Just a reminder that next Tuesday (28 March) is our Year 3 – 6 Cross Country carnival. The carnival will begin at 9:00 AM on the school oval.
There will be two options for students: a fun run which is 1km, and the competitive race which varies in distance according to age. Students will have nominated which of the two races they will be running in prior to the day.

10 year olds (born 2013) | 2km
11 year olds (born 2012) | 3km
12 year olds (born 2011) | 3km
Please note as the Year 3 cohort is split into students born in 2014 (9 years) and 2015 (8 years), if you have a child who would like to run in the 9 years competitive age group, please email Mr Simons (psimo2@eq.edu.au) before Monday 27 March.

9.00 AM | Rolls will be marked and students will move down under the New Hall and assemble in house groups
9:10 AM | Year 3 boys and girls competitive race (1km)
9:20 AM | 9 year old boys and girls (born 2014) competitive race (1km)
9:30 AM | 10 year old boys and girls (born 2013) competitive race (2km)
9:45 AM | 11 year old boys and girls (born 2012) competitive race (3km)
10:00 AM | 12 year old boys and girls (born 2011) competitive race (3km)
10:15 AM | Year 3 fun run boys and girls (1km)
10:25 AM | Year 4 fun run boys and girls (1km)
10:35 AM | Year 5 fun run boys and girls (1km)
10:45 AM | Year 6 fun run boys and girls (1km)
What to bring
Students are encouraged to wear their house colours (Simpson – Yellow, Radcliffe – Green and Boyland – Blue) and running shoes. They are also welcome to wear coloured wigs, zinc and streamers to support their teams on the day.
